How to know when the devil is after you.
Most at times when we are about reaching our breakthrough, the devil comes straight after us and we fall back to our sins. As a Christian, we should always be alarmed when we experience these things because it shows that the devil is after us.
1. Your prayer life begins to fall: The first sign that the devil is after you is
your prayer life begins to fall. Life is spiritual and nothing happens without
a reason. The devil makes us feel lazy anytime we go on our knees to pray
because he is aware prayer reveals things. Once you realise that your prayer
life has fallen, you should be alarmed. The best times to pray is when you
don't feel like praying.
2. You begin to feel comfortable in sin: We are humans and it is common for us to sin
but the problem is when you start living in sin. As a true Christian, anytime
you sin, you become cautious of yourself and ask for forgiveness. When the
devil is after you, he makes you feel that everything is normal. That it is
normal to have fornicate, practise homosexuality and many others. Most at times
he starts deceiving you from the little things like lying, cheating and as time
goes on, you become comfortable in sin that you see it to be so normal. During
such periods, you need to run to God because if you keep on in that state,
getting back to God becomes difficult and dangerous.
3. You feel unworthy of God's grace: After you become comfortable in sin, the devil
starts condemning you and making you feel guilty of your sins anytime you go
before God. He charges you with guilt and fault and you begin to feel unworthy
of God's grace. What you have to know in order to defeat the devil is God's
grace and mercy are unmerited for us. He forgives us no matter our sins because
He loves us unconditionally. Anytime you feel unworthy, accept the gift of your
faults and cry out to God.
4. You start complaining instead of praising: Another way that shows that the devil is after
you is that he makes you complain about petty things to God instead of
praising. He makes you forget the good God has done and makes you notice only
the bad things. Anytime you go to pray, you only mumble and complain to God and
you even forget to say thank you. Mostly this part is difficult to notice since
you think you are only telling God what is happening around you. Even the Holy
Bible tells us to give thanks and that we should let our thanksgiving be more
than our requests. The devil makes us get angry at God for what he the devil
had done and we start thinking God doesn't care about us. Be alarmed when you
notice these signs as a Christian.
